SUMMARY:Transpersonal Psychology Training: Introduction to Psychosynthesis - Psychology with a Soul
DESCRIPTION:“Transpersonal Psychology Training:\nIntroduction to Psychosynthesis”\nProfessional Training\nfor Psychologists – 6 CEUs\nMay 1\, 8:30 AM  – 4:30 PM\nCost: $95\, Group rate: for 2 or more\, $75 each\nREGISTER: 612-874-6622 or online\nDownload a flyer here\nThe Carondelet Center\n1890 Randolph\, St. Paul MN 55105\n \n“Psychosynthesis offers depth and breadth to our understanding of the human journey to health\, freedom\, and purposeful living. This seamless blend of Eastern wisdom and Western psychology offers a timeless vision for the practice of psychology and for the evolution of the human race. Dr. Assagioli’s “smiling wisdom” is ever-fresh.”  Mary Hayes Grieco \nPsychosynthesis is the life’s work of an Italian psychiatrist\, Dr. Roberto Assagioli (1888 – 1974.) From an early age until the time of his death\, Assagioli developed a comprehensive model of transpersonal psychology which integrates Eastern spirituality with Western psychological theory\, as well as advancing a vision of humanity’s highest potentials. \nLike other transpersonal psychology\, Psychosynthesis concerns itself with the importance of spiritual experiences and unifying and transcendent states of consciousness in the personality’s journey into health\, maturity\, and joyful living. Dubbed “the psychology with a soul\,” Dr. Assagioli developed a brilliant and balanced theoretical base\, as well as a number of practical therapeutic techniques that give practitioner and client a common spiritual language\, and tools to promote growth and healing. \nThis training will provide an introduction and an overview of the important components of the Psychosynthesis model; we will also focus in on specific aspects and provide simple tools that will rapidly enhance and support your work with clients. \nLearning Objectives\nReview the history of the life and work of Dr. Roberto Assagioli and his holistic vision of psychology and human potential. \nUnderstand the concept of “psychosynthesis\,” a process of harmonizing disparate elements of the personality\, and fostering connection with the soul \nGain a model of spiritual growth that is non-religious and utilize a tool that can be used in secular settings and with clients of various faith backgrounds \nEvaluate and discuss the process and value of using Assagioli’s concept of subpersonalities with your clients \nPractice an exercise in energy grounding\, self containment\, and protection that can aid clients who are scattered and overly influenced by others \nDiscuss and develop strategies for applying Psychosynthesis techniques in a clinical practice \nSeminar schedule\n8:30 – 9:00 Registration and continental breakfast \n9:00 – 10:30 Part I: Synthesis\nBringing Soul and Personality Together\nBreak \n10:45 -12:15 Part II: Sub-personalities\nGet Your House in Order!\nLunch \n1:15- 3:00 Part III: Healthy Energy Hygiene\nThe power of energy awareness\nBreak\n3:15 – 4:30 Part IV: The Act of Will\nThe ultimate challenge for all of us \nHere’s what people are saying:\n“Mary Hayes Grieco is a gifted and inspiring presenter with a wealth of knowledge. In the training she presented for the European Branch of the American Counseling Association\, our members gained valuable skills to use in their counseling practices. It was a very enriching experience\, and I am using my new knowledge with clients already.”\n– Frankie Nielsen\, Ed.D. Past President\,\nAmerican Counseling Association\, European Branch (EB-ACA) \n“Wonderful – I plan on using some of these transpersonal psychology tools right away with my clients who are open to it. I appreciate the balance of the logical and the spiritual.”\n– Anne\, MSW\, Seminar attendee 2013 \n“This training is the best! I love how it brings the spiritual component alive in counseling\, and I believe that’s how real healing takes place.”\n– Stephen\, LP\, Seminar attendee 2014
