| The
Association for the Advancement of Psychosynthesis is a professional
organization dedicated to the dissemination of the ideas and spirit
of psychosynthesis throughout the world.
Since its inception in 1910, Psychosynthesis has emerged as a powerful,
inclusive and healing perspective on human development. Founded
by the Italian psychiatrist, Roberto Assagioli, psychosynthesis
finds itself at the cutting edge of psychological theory. With a
comprehensive theory and methodology, psychosynthesis embraces the
totality of human experience, from the impact of early wounding
to the movement toward Self realization. Applied in psychological,
educational, business and religious settings, psychosynthesis supports
the health and well being of individuals, groups, and the planet.
The Association for The Advancement of Psychosynthesis was officially
formed in August of 1995. It is the first psychosynthesis professional
association on the North American continent. AAP is incorporated
as a non-profit, tax exempt organization in the United States. It
is a member run organization and invites active participation of
all who become involved. The organization is run cooperatively by
a steering committee which is elected annually.
